My Role
Graphic Designer
As a graphic designer I've created all manner of publications, brochures, flyers, booklets and reports. The following are examples of some of the large-format ones that I’ve designed for two corporate clients that I have worked for, ISG and Savills.
ISG Annual Report
I designed this Annual Report for ISG, using their brand guidelines, which include thick angled lines, angled frame edges, Kazimer as a feature font along-side Helvetica Neue as a secondary one. I used the main colours in their palette to differentiate the sections, while using their lower-tier colours for accents in symbols and featured statistics.
With so much content, it was important to keep the design simple and only sparingly use design flourishes, but to use enough that the publication kept the readers' interest and felt like a quality document. The Senior Sustainability Manager and I worked together on the title hierarchy to find the best way to differentiate sections from subsections, headers from sub-headers, and sub-headers from emphasised content.
BCG
Frankfurt
While freelancing at Savills I designed a bunch of bid documents, sometimes using each organisation’s brand guidelines, and sometimes developing styles appropriate to the particular client, applying these to 80-page publications, presentation slides and large format displays.
This one for BCG Frankfurt was loosely based on their brand, but adapted to fit this context.
St James’s Square
I used the brand recently developed by Socrates to design this bid document for Norfolk House in St James’s Square, London. I balanced densely-packed information with large images and open space, in a very contemporary design which also features some quite traditional flourishes as well as hand-drawn elements.
